About Us

Kim and Dawn are sisters who have been teaching together for six years. Together they have opened Maple Valley Montessori.

Dawn Weigel, Co-Director

Dawn is a nationally certified American Montessori Society (AMS) teacher. She has 27+ years Montessori teaching experience including Spanish and music. She found her passion early in life. She’s always had a deep love for children and thoroughly enjoys helping children foster their love of learning and watching them grow.

Kim Baxter, Co-Director

Kim is a nationally certified teacher from the International Association for Progressive Montessori (IAPM). Her 3 children all attended Montessori preschools. While volunteering at their school, she discovered her passion for helping children learn. She made the transition from corporate America to education and early childhood development. She’s now in her 10th year of teaching.
